KARRY

KOZAK-FEDORUK

Karry was owner and operator of Images Dance Studio here in Chilliwack for 22 years, from 1991 to 2013. She has had studio dancers voted “student of the year” at national and international competitions, where she herself was named “teacher of the year”.  She was co-founder of the Arts on the Edge program in Chilliwack, focusing on Song, Dance and Acting in an after school program for children designed to promote the Arts for Youth. She was choreographer for the UFV Summer Musical Theater program for 7 years from 1997 to 2004. Her many credits include the torchlighting and closing ceremonies for the BC Summer Games.

 

Karry has a strong background in Kinesiology, Dance History and Dance Psychology. Her training has been both national, with the Royal Academy of Dance at the University of Waterloo and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and International with Dupree Dance in Vancouver and Arizona and the Cecchetti Ballet Society of Valencia, California.

DONNA

JORDAN

Donna is founder and manager of Chilliwack Dance School, as well as recently taking on ownership and management of Chilliwack Gymnastics Club downstairs. She has a Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration degree, and over 30 years experience in business. She has spent about 16 years as a "dance mom" for 5 daughters in dance. Donna is a certified gymnastics coach, and a former member of the UBC Women's Gymnastics team. 

In addition to teaching dance and gymnastics classes, Donna has many years experience teaching children from very young to teens and adults in other environments, including pre-school Sunday School, Homeschool PE and writing classes, math tutoring, and home schooling her own 6 children.

GLORY

SHUMBUSHO

Glory started teaching break dancing in 2012 at Life Church in Uganda, and has continued teaching at dance studios here in Canada. He volunteered for the Elementz Dance Crew for the BC Summer Games in 2016.

Glory studied kinesiology at Langara College in 2015, finished a diploma in Social Work in 2019, and is now working on training in music production. In addition to teaching break dancing, he works as a DJ and a housing support worker. His other interests include soccer, where he earned MVP in the Provincial A division in 2013, and was a Chilliwack FC Scholarship winner. He coached goalkeepers for CFC, and has volunteered as a coach for the U11 boys soccer team.

He also speaks 6 languages.

KYERA

FEDORUK

Kyera has felt passionate about dance since her tiny feet hit the dance floor at the age of two. Dancing throughout her youth competitively through Images Dance Studio in Chilliwack, Kyera earned countless titles, awards, and trophies. She represented Canada in Europe 3 years in a row from 2012-2014 at the International Dance Organization World Championships. Kyera attended the prestigious Goh Ballet Theatre Company for their summer intensive workshop and performance. Kyera also performed in school theatre productions and in productions of local theatre companies, such as the Players' Guild and Newbury Arts Concepts.

Kyera began her teaching career in 2011 at Images Dance Studio, adding classes at Community Schools to her schedule in 2012. Most recently, Kyera has been teaching at Silver Hope Dance Academy as well as at Chilliwack Dance School. She taught competitive and recreational dance lessons in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, musical theatre ( aka stage), contemporary, and acro.

VIRAJ THAKOR

Viraj has loved dancing since he was a child, especially Bollywood Dancing, both the contemporary and hip hop styles. He loves to perform, qualifying for several rounds in India's Got Talent, and performing in community events in India and in Cranbrook, BC.

Viraj has a Bachelor's of Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat Technological University and a Diploma in Business Administration and Management from College of the Rockies. He has worked at a variety of jobs while going to school, including teaching Bollywood dancing, and caring for a child with Down Syndrome.

BOBBI

KOZAK

As an avid competitive dancer since her youth, Bobbi was very interested in helping her sister out when she opened Images Dance Studio in Chilliwack. By attending CDTA classes and various lower mainland dance trainer workshops, she learned the fundamentals of teaching dance. Bobbi enjoyed teaching Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop and Kinderdance at Images for over 15 years.

Bobbi’s start in teaching and coaching children and adults began in the pool teaching swimming lessons almost 30 years ago. She successfully completed many teaching/coaching workshops and courses hosted by 3M, Red Cross, YMCA, ND NLS. Her love of working with youth and sport moved into a coaching role where she coached the Agassiz Aquanauts swim team for years.

Bobbi joined the Silver-Hope Dance Academy teaching faculty in April 2016 where she has been teaching tap, intro to dance, mini’s and adult salsa. She joined Chilliwack Dance School in 2020. Bobbi enjoys working with all age-groups and many styles of dance!
